1. Eligibility
- Activdate is for adults 18 and older only.
- We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If such information is discovered, we will delete it.
2. Information We Collect
When you use Activdate, we collect:
Account Information
- Name, age, email, phone number, and other profile details you choose to provide (e.g., photos, interests, bios).
Location Information
- Approximate location to help recommend events.
- Precise location is collected and shared only with participants of events you’ve been accepted into.
User Content & Activity
- Event posts, likes, and matches.
- “Meeting notes” shared only with event participants once you’re accepted.
- Mandatory reviews after events, which are publicly visible on user profiles.
- Reports/flags submitted on other users.
Usage & Device Data
- App interactions, device identifiers, diagnostics, crash logs, performance analytics.
Communications
- Messages we send (verification codes, event confirmations, notifications) and your responses.
We do not operate chat rooms, and no chat content is collected.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide the service (accounts, events, matches, reviews, notifications, event logistics).
- Improve safety and moderation (investigate reports, enforce 18+ rule, prevent misuse).
- Communicate with you (support, updates, account messages).
- Comply with legal obligations or protect rights/safety.
We do not sell your data and we do not share data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. How We Share Information
We may share:
- With other users: your public profile and reviews; precise location and “meeting notes” only with accepted event participants.
- With service providers: hosting, analytics, notifications, moderation — under strict contracts.
- For safety and legal purposes: if required by law, to prevent harm, or to enforce our Terms.
- During business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
We do not make your phone number or email visible to other users.
5. Safety Notice & Liability
Activdate helps people connect, but we do not organize, supervise, or control the events themselves.
- You are solely responsible for your safety, choices, and interactions.
- By using Activdate, you acknowledge and accept that Activdate, LLC is not liable for any injuries, losses, disputes, or incidents arising from events or user interactions, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

6. Your Choices
- Location permissions: manage precise/approximate location in device settings.
- Notifications: control email/SMS/push in settings.
- Profile management: edit or delete certain profile details and posts.
- Account deletion: request deletion; reviews you left are removed if your account is deleted. Reports/flags may be retained for safety/legal reasons.
7. Data Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy:
- Account/profile data: while account is active.
- Event/location/meeting note data: until event lifecycle ends plus a reasonable safety window.
- Reviews: persist on profiles unless account is deleted or removal is required.
- Reports/flags: retained for moderation/legal compliance.
- Diagnostics: kept for limited periods for app performance.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, delete, or port your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent (e.g., location).
- File complaints with regulators.
California (CPRA):
- We collect categories listed in Section 2.
- We do not sell or “share” data for advertising.
- Sensitive personal information is only used to provide the service.
EU/UK (GDPR):
- Activdate, LLC is the data controller.
- Legal bases: contract, legitimate interests, consent (location/notifications), and legal obligations.
- Transfers outside the EU/UK are safeguarded (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).
9. Security
We use encryption, access controls, and safeguards to protect your information. No system is 100% secure; use Activdate responsibly.
10. International Transfers
Your data may be stored in the U.S. (Texas and other locations). Where required, we apply lawful transfer mechanisms.
11. Third-Party Links
We may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their practices — review their privacy policies before engaging.
12. Policy Updates
We may update this Policy. Updates will be posted with a new “Effective date.” If changes are material, we’ll provide additional notice or obtain consent where required.
